Vlajko-Vanja Pejović was born in Podgorica in 1979. He graduated the Faculty for Tourism and Hotel Management of Kotor. During his study, he started to go to the mountains and practice rock climbing. With a group of friends he founded Outdoor Club Podgorica and Mali Alpinistički Klub (Small Alpine Club). He organizeed and participated in several pioneering projects concerning the development of sport climbing areas (Smokovac, Kolašin, Tivat, Orjen, Bar). He also runs the web page montenegroclimbing.net. Furthermore, he has been active in marking hiking trails and organizing alpine climbing camps in the Montenegrin mountains, and he has also participated in a few rock, snow and ice climbing trips in the Dolomites, Chamonix, Austria, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Croatia. He climbed around 150 routes in the mountains and canyons of Montenegro, many of the were first ascent routes. He is a member of the Montenegrin Mountain Rescue Service since 2009. He is living and working in Podgorica with his wife Ana.
