A great week with friends from Italy! We made several

Mount Žijevo, Kučke planine or Kučka krajina are all names of the same mountain range in the vicinity of capital city of Podgorica. These mountains are in the shadow of much more popular Prokletije, Komovi, Durmitor...but I would say, for no good reason! Žijevo is a bit of all together..There are many peaks up 2184 m., numerous very good rock walls, a few lakes, a large number of hiking trails and nice ski touring possibilities! One of them I had in mind long time ago as a tour with ca a 1100 m. high vertical descent and ascent of course :) . Finally we did the Treskavac peak  (2024 m.), in March of this year, from the village of Brskut. In company with my girlfriend Ana and Slobo we had a wonderful  day. The quantity of the snow this winter promises more similar days. Join us!

While most  mountains in my country  and around do not have enough snow, this is not the case with Prokletije. This winter we did several exploring tours in these mountains, both in Albania and Montenegro. Join us next winter, there are still plenty of slopes that have not been skied previosly!

Although this winter is not so rich in snow like the winters before, it was more than enough to enjoy a week with Heli Gargitter and his group from South Tyrol. The lack of snow on lower altitudes gave us the chance to explore new terrains  in the Durmitor mountains and to do the first ski descent from Maja Kokervhakes peak in Prokletije,on the Albanian side.

Early this summer I had the honour to guide my first group from Belgium. We were lucky with the weather and had a great time together, crossing the mountains all the way to the Adriatic Sea. Thanks to all participants, it was real pleasure to guide them!

The tour with the Marcus family from Israel was super, super fun! The kids and their parents were motivated to have a great holiday and to take the best of Montenegro. Tour was planned to offer many different activities in the mountains – that was not difficult. But it was hard to follow four teenagers, full of energy! . Every day was a story for itself: from hiking in the Durmitor mountains, rafting along the Tara river, rock climbing in Pirlitor area, biking through Bjelasica and a jeep safari in the Prokletije region. The hintherland of the Adriatic sea and the area around Skadar lake hide easy, but magnificient walking trails. Almost any trail you choose will show you, at a certain point, the bauties of our coast, great landscapes, friendly people living their lives far away from the daily crowd, their hospitality, sweet honey and rakija! I had the honor to guide my first group from Germany, together with my friend Andrea Baumgartner. Thanks to all participants for this pleasant and relaxing tour.
