Welcome text

"The experience of the mountain, that we feel when abandoning it, is always different from the persuasion we came with into its sides. In the mountain we see glory and mystery it scares us and we dream about it as a gift we've always wanted, but, yet, only every so often get. However we access it, adventure waits on its slopes. An adventure of a lively and close, yet fathomless and timeless experience. Adventure that sometimes starts without intention, and doesn not stop even when come back to everyday routines and conventionality. So, take your rucksack, put a little bit of dreams and fears in it, a piece of pride and a slice of doubt, desire and inexperience and let your feet take you in the mountain. All that you have packed will be returned at least a little bit different, but something new will always be here, something that will call you and attract you, and that will be harder and harder to resist. It's up to you to choose the time, place, method and equipment, but that choice is not the begeninig of mountaineering. That is a sign that you have deeply sailed in it and all that is left for you now is to steer in a world of mountain adventures. Using your heart as a compass.."

Orjen

The Orjen masiff spreads over the borders of three countries: Montenegro, Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina. It dominates over the entrance to the Boka Kotorska bay. The highest peak is Zubački kabao (1894m). The tourism infrastructure of Orjen is well-developed, there is an excellent  mountain hut and numerous marked trails will give you a lot pleasure. If you are a fan of trad climbing, here you will find some of the best rocks in Montenegro: Subra and Reovačka greda.

Maganik

This labyrinth of stone formations in central Montenegro, inhospitable and impassable at the first sight, is a real jewel for lovers of sharp and vertical mountain lines.
The highest point is Međeđi Vrh (2138m), to witch several hiking tours can be made. There are no marked trails and navigation is difficult, but exactly for that reason Maganik enjoys the reputation of a real, untouched wilderness, where there is room only for the most persistent and capable mountaineers only.

Bjelasica

This mountain range is characterized by gentle, round peaks and grasslands, while the large and deep forests on its slopes hide several glacial lakes,  of which one - Biogradsko Lake - is the heart of Biogradska Gora National Park. Due to its geological origin Bjelasica is rich in water, which makes this mountain range different from any other Montenegrin mountains. Pešića Lake is situated under the highest peak of Crna glava. Other lakes are Malo & Veliko Šiško Lake and Ursulovacko Lake. Because of its diverse relief and proximity to the town of Kolašin, a small mountain resort, Bjelasica is popular hiking destination. Almost every peak, lake or tour can be reached from different directions, as there are five small towns around the northern part of this mountain massif.

Moračke planine

As the name says, these mountains are located around the source and upper stream of the Morača river. This region offers numerous very attractive hiking tours. Most of them include the climbing of peaks over 2000m, e.g. Lastva  (2226), Stolac, Zagradac and Tali. In the heart of the masiff are two glacial lakes, Kapetanovo and Manito. Kapetanovo is one of the deepest mountains lakes in Montenegro; it is 49 m. deep. Regardless of their rather isolated position, there is a great variety of access possibilities. You can reach these mountains from the east through Mrtvica canyon (demanding tour), or from north eastover Niksic and Krnovo.

Sinjajevina

A huge mountain expanse in the heart of Montenegro that stretches almost 50 km between Kolasin and Zabljak. The most interesting tours can be made in the eastern part of the masiff above Lipovo valley with peaks of Bablji zub, Gradiste and Jablanov Vrh.Farher to the west, Sinjajevina is flatter and turns into a plateau at an altitude of about 1600 m., which makes it ideal for mountain biking or long hiking tours. Sinjajevina is also suitable for day tours because of its proximity to the main road that links the south and north. Crossing Sinjajevina in winter time on skis or snowshoes presenst a unique and ultimate experience! Feel that experince with us!
P.S. If you are aproaching to Sinjajevina through Lipovo or Štitarica valley, you MUST taste special type of cheese produced only here - lisnati sir!

Mount Žijevo-Kučke planine

Only 45 km away from the capital city of Podgoric is Mount Žijevo or Kučke mountains. These mountains with diverse mountain reliefs like valleys, steep rocky walls, 14 peaks over 2000 m, also hide two beautiful glacial lakes: Bukumirsko and Rikavačko. The highest peak is Surdup 2184 m. Due to their proximity Podgorica and good accessibility (not always in winter), these mountains are great for a one-day hiking tour from the city. The most popular tours starts from Bukumirsko Lake to the peaks of Surdup, Štitan and Pasjak, from Mokra to the Maglič peak or from Bukumirsko lake to Rikavačko lake with a possible accent on the Vila peak.

Mrtvica canyon

This is one of my favorite hiking tours in Montenegro. I have been there many times in different seasons and each time I was delighted and surprised by the beauty of this canyon! Mrtvica river is situated in central part of Montenegro and flows into the Morača river. The canyon is deeply carved in the rocky walls of Mount Maganik. Visiting the canyon is possible throughout the year and every season is a story for itself, but the beauty of the canyon in the spring, when river rises by melting snow from the mountains, is almost unreal and something that should not be missed. The usual tour is until halfway the canyon, what makes this tour easy to pass within 5 - 6 hours. Although there are no technical dificulties on the path, this should not be underestimated, as you still need to walk 10 -12 km. The season lasts all year, but the best time is spring.

Komovi

Komovi is the third mountain range in Montenegro by altitude. It is situated between the Kučke Planine and Bjelasica. It is well-known by its exceptionally beautiful peaks, more or less accessible in winter and in summer. The highest parts consist of two almost parallel ridges along the three highest peaks of this massif. It is interesting that each of these three peaks is named after one of the tribes that gravitate to these mountains. At the foot of Vasojevićki Kom is the vast plateau of Štavna, known as a starting point for almost all popular hiking tours to Komovi. Vasojevićki Kom is the easiest to reach, while the others tours are longer and more demanding.
